Our Mission for progress in Mithila

Who does not want self progress? Who doesn’t want Mithila as progress region?

Obviously, Answer will be yes. How does Mithila Manthan be one of the options for the mission of progress? We will try to focus on the concern relating Manthan on Mithila for over all development. Progress of any region is not a magic. Where ever any region has progressed, it is the result of serial efforts by every individual of all castes and communities. We are trying to explore various Manthan in context with the progress for oneself & society. Manthan means churning i.e. a rotational agitation to produce positive vibration & energy.

The churning is to attain the elixir of life at all levels to work tirelessly for ‘happiness’ in all our life for society, & acquiring physical or spiritual assets one after another.

Mithila: linked with Manthan: How & Why?

Living or non living object is to be produced by vigorous agitation is called Churning (Manthan). In context with Mithila, eventually, Taking birth by churning (Manthan) was the core factor to understand about Janak and emergence of Janak Dynasty. In brief, there was an incident where Vasishtha, the Kulguru of King Nimmi was assigned to perform Yagyna but could not be available. The Saga was preoccupied with assignments at heaven and auspicious time for yagyna was about to lapse where King Nimmi was having no ways other than to depute another sagas. Yagyna was completed successfully. When Vasishtha returned and found yagyan was over. He became furious and punished King Nimmi to become invisible body. In context with yajna, Both Kulguru and King had attacked each other for to live without body (Nirdeh). Option for continuation of Kingship after King Nimmi were explored by Group of Rishi’s (Researcher) and planned for creating living body by the churning of dead body of King Nimmi to begin Janak Dynasty. So, Churning (manthan) of Body is called Mithi and one who takes birth by Churning is known as Jank, so was the birth of Mithi-Janak. King Mithi (Janak-1) Mithi created created Mithila. Raja Janak is known as Videh also. A Mithila formation was rooted from Manthan. Manthan in Mithila had given the popular King named as Mithi. Mithi had made Mithila as cultural and spiritual power. Thereafter, Sita wife of Ram was Mithila girl-a very popular name in and out of Mithila in the category of goddess.

Various types of manthan

1. Samudra manthan
2. Milk manthan
3. Atma manthan

Let’s take the significance of Samudra manthan.

Point of concern: To control devil forces, the point of concern is to know that the assistance was taken by daityas ( Asuras /demons) only. Devas played diplomatic way at step by awarding lucrative result to achieve the immortal status. But after manthan, Devas didn’t share with any divine emergence despite taking support from Demons. When Paradise, the Land of the Devas fell into the hands of the Daityas, then the options
of Samudra-manthan was explored. The Churning of the Ocean’ was not the easy task. The contribution of Daityas during Samudra-manthan was the need. Immortal was the cause for daitiya to participate in Samudra-manthan. Manthan is the projections of negative & positive forces. We know that the story of Samudra Manthan in our Hindu Mythology in a spiritual terms projects about an individuals on followings

Emergence of Milk manthan

Butter is being prepared by continued agitators. Lord Krishna's habit of stealing butter and milk for building team and act as team leader. As a child Krishna was very fond of milk and milk products. He would prowl into anyone's house and steal or break pots of butter and milk. Learning lesson is to know the tricks of team effort and effective leader.

Emergence of Atma manthan (Introspection)

What we do?

Our mind is merged in Atma. is permanent and is without any change or alteration. It is full of knowledge, bliss and purity.

Suitable manthan for the development of Mithila: Point of concern

1) Jal Manthan
2) Maithili Manthan
3) Udyog Manthan
4) Maithil Manthan

Jal Manthan

Floods in Maithila have stopped the progress. It is annual disaster. How to overcome? There is no shortcut solution. Anyway, we do explore with Jal Manthan. Jal Manthan should be focused with great hopes for Mithila’s agricultural and industrial development, but equally, should be promised for basic standard of living, social progress. Everyone who aspired to see migrated maithil to return to the homeland and provide them with a decent living depended on technological progress.

Floods in Mithila do draw attention to churn the flooded and rain water through effective water management for progress: electrification arrangement hence the building up of the land could not be realized without a technological revolution.

Maithili Manthan

Who doesn’t like Maithili? Who does not like to be called as Maithil? Who does criticize Maithil and Mithila? Who is responsible for this? Do we realize for Maithili Manhan? The language of Mithila known as Maithili has its own script which has some resemblance with Bengali script. Now, Maithili script is disappearing and becoming the part of our history. Hindi script has dominated over Maithili script.

Mithila movement towards maithili as mother language will create interest to restore Maithil. Professionals involved for the maithili promotion, have been failed completely to generate interest and create the sense of responsibility. They are also help less. There are no readers. Non-Purchasing habit towards Maithili journal are the root-cause.

Above & below graphs represent the serious concern towards the non-interest of Maithil on Reading & Writing their own language.

Cause for down trends:

1) Lacking of tendering respect to our mother tongue which has begun from maithil itself. If we don’t respect our language, our mind has accepted linguistic slavery. Knowing other languages at cost of deep ignorance of maithili in terms of speaking, reading and writing is very bad.

2) Generation gap: Maithil families do have different opinion on Maithili which has been resulting into generation gap.
3) No leading magazine as like as Anand bazaar patrika of Bengali language. Maithils don’t have emotion to purchase maithili patrika in case it is available on sale. There is an opportunity to start and publish commercial magazine as like Anand Bazaar patrika of West Bengal.Difficult task but easy to act: Maithil should enjoy to ready and write maithili. Maithil should have the interest to purchase Maithili Patrika. Every Maithil should adopt good practices towards our mother language to speak, read & write.

Udyog Manthan

Poverty in any region is root for humiliation, harassment, starvation, crime, and many things. The very next point comes to discuss on cause for poverty. Poverty can be routed out through economical development hence Industrial growth. Few General Manager of District Industries Centre, Govt. of Bihar are visionless &
mission less. They are orthodox in approach. In such situation, individual will have to make own effort.

Problems in entrepreneurship for Maithil

Who doesn’t want progress? Nobody can live without progress. Progress is the part of life. There is tendency among maithil to ignore and neglect any serious effort. Most of maithil does not want to start any industries. Marwari & Sindhi of Mithila do thing for industries. I know few of them where bread & biscuit industries at cottage scale have been running. Nav Ratna concept on industries (agro, pharma, food, tourism, herbal, dairy, handicrafts, paintings etc.) for Mithila will be the boon for Maithils.

Packaging industry has proved that packging is the life-line of any product and sunrise industry in India. Packaging is constantly evolving to meet changing social, economic and environmental needs. One such need is to service a growing world population. More mouths to feed usually means more packaging required. On the other hand, packaging acts to reduce the sickness and disease that is often associated with non-packaged food in less developed countries and, indeed, saves food wastage. People, certainly in the more industrialized nations, are eating healthier food today than ever before. So today's packaging has to reflect the need for seniors to read labels and nutritional and health information without difficulty. Mithila has tremendous potential to grow in Mircro-Small Industries.

Maithil Manthan:

Sincere Maithils are dedicating themselves to promote Maithili literature. They are continuously in their job despite series of hurdles. Some Maithils are dedicating themselves in social reforms also. One of them Shri Ashok kumar Jha of Tumaul for the last two decades says that we should keep alive of our socio-cultural rituals but not in orthodox/forcibly manner. Expenditure of Feast (Bhoj) during Mundan, Upnayan, marriage and shradya are adding economic liabilities to the organizer for which they face difficulties in their life time. Social economical growth is blocked. In place of Bhoj, expenditure may be made for common infrastructure hence resulted into the progress.

Maithil’s on E-manthan: There are many e-groups apart from Yahoo. But our study in yahoo only projects that 3232 Maithils (till December 22, 2007) are discussing core issues on Mithila’s progress.
